Biography

Deniz Yildiz is a PhD Candidate in Geography and Spatial Sciences at the University of Tasmania. Deniz’s research explores the social and cultural aspects of bushfire management.  Specifically, she is interested in how communication about bushfire risk coproduce relationships between human and nature. Deniz is passionate about advancing inclusive and just understandings about how to communicate bushfire risk as part of living well with bushfires in Australian landscapes.
