This Monday (February 22 2021) the Fire Centre’s Prof David Bowman and Dr Penny Jones are launching a new unit, ‘Living with Fire’.
This 12-week unit is part of the Certificate of Sustainable Living and is for anyone interested in the fascinating but complex challenges of how we live with wildfire in Australia today. The unit covers wildfire through a holistic and truly ‘pyrogeographic’ lens, covering topics from fire and biodiversity, to bushfire resilient housing design and the pros and cons of planned burning. It is open to anyone in the community.
You can enroll now for the Semester Two (July) or Spring School (October) intakes.
You can also enroll for a free short course taster (4-weeks) as a UTAS short course.
