Community perceptions, understanding and use of Bushfire Places of Last Resort (Nearby Safer Places) in Tasmania now and in the future

As a collaboration between the Fire Centre and the Tasmania Fire Service, this project aims to create evidence-based recommendations on the use and communication of Bushfire Places of Last Resort (also known as Nearby Safer Places). This project leverages data from the 2023 Tasmania Bushfire Preparedness Survey and key TFS data sources. The evidence will be supplemented by focus group interviews across Tasmania and a national literature review.
